Finalists will have the honor of participating in MIM's Music Live program. Music Live is a program
bringing live music into the Nevada County classrooms.

NOTE: Showcase Concert may be taped and/or photographed for publicity purposes by
Music in the Mountains. Please give your permission by signing below.

 Mail solo application(s) with $25.00 fee to: Music in the Mountains – YMC, PO Box 1451, Nevada City, CA  95959.

Rules for YMC Contestants:

           1.  Contestants must LIVE and/or STUDY and/or ATTEND SCHOOL in Nevada or Placer County.  The contestant's application
       must be signed by the teacher.  
2.   Finalists will be chosen at the preliminary audition in each category/division and grade division to compete for cash prizes.
      Final adjudication on Saturday, May 2 will NOT be open to the public. A Showcase Concert of all winners on Sunday, May 3, 2:00 p.m.,
      at Peace Lutheran Church, is open to the public, admission is $5.

           3.  Prizes will be awarded by judges only in those divisions where contestants display artistic excellence.
4.  Judges will be appointed by the Young Musicians Competition Committee. Their decisions are final. Times and locations set by the
      Committee shall be considered final. 
5.  Solo contestants’ literature must be memorized. Ensemble contestants may use scores.
6.  Appropriate performance attire is required.

NOTE: A separate application is required for each solo contestant or ensemble!
