Cody Howard has spent more than a decade with the California Air Resources Board, where he has held leadership roles focused on air quality, emissions research, and data‑driven regulatory programs. He is committed to serving organizations that strengthen and enrich the communities they touch.
Music plays an important role in his life and the life of his family. His daughter plays both clarinet and piano; his wife is a pianist; and his son is currently exploring the world of Green Day. Cody himself enjoys all genres—from classical to jazz, rock, and hip hop—and is a strong advocate for cultivating children's musical curiosity and nurturing their musical skills. He believes deeply in the power of music to spark creativity, build confidence, and connect people across generations.
Cody and his family made the move to Nevada City four years ago because of the love of nature and the amazing community. He is honored to support Music in the Mountains and to help cultivate musical opportunities for young people and the broader community.
